SFU Research Data Center:
Thursday, April 25th, 9am-10am
The Research Data Centre at the Simon Fraser University is part of the British Columbia Inter-university Research Data Centre, supported by partner universities, SSHRC/CIHR, and Statistics Canada. This collaborative initiative aims to strengthen B.C.’s social research capacity, support policy-relevant research, and provide insights on important issues by increasing the use of Statistics Canada’s rich data for academic and policy-relevant research.
The BCIRDC provides access, for approved projects, to selected Statistics Canada confidential microdata household, population and workplace files, including:
Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS)
Ethnic Diversity Survey (EDS)
National Population Health Survey (NPHS)
Youth in Transition Survey and the Programme for International Student Assessments (YITS-PISA)
The RDC is available to faculty and graduate students from SFU, UBC, UNBC, and UVic, who have an approved project.
